Add My Community Event

Is your club or organization having a community related event? Do you wish to have it posted on this web site? If you answered "YES!", send an email to info@dewittmi.org to request that your event be added to the Community Calendar.

All requests are subject to approval by our City staff. Your event will be added to our Events Calendar, in the Community Section, after it is approved. Follow the Approval Guidelines when requesting to add your event. 


Our staff will review your request and follow up with you via email regarding the status of your request.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Your Information will be used soley by the City of DeWitt to contact you in response to your inquiry. It will not be sold or distributed in any way. For more information, please read our Web Site Privacy Statement.

Approval Guidelines:
Your request must be received in writing by completing the online Events Form (above) or by sending your information to us by fax or regular mail. All Events Form fields are required.

Our City staff will consider adding community events that are: 

  • Open to the General Public
  • Community Related
  • Non-political
Event examples that we will approve include items such as: 
  • Ox Roast Related Public Events
  • Parades, Festivals, Seasonal and Holiday Events
  • Neighborhood Watch Meetings and Events
  • Neighborhood Garage Sales (must be neighborhood)
  • Jaycee, Cub Scout, Girl Scout, Boy Scout, Etc., Events
  • Club Events (Running, Biking, Reading, Cooking, Etc)
Event examples that will NOT be approved: 
  • Personal Garage Sale, Yard Sale, Moving Sale, Estate Sale, etc.
  • Private Parties 
  • Political Public Gatherings
  • Sales/Advertisements
